Free Iran T-Shirt
This new t-shirt design from the Hashhaus home essentials collection pays tribute to the current Women, Life, Freedom protest movement in Iran. The lion ans sun graphic is sourced from a now obsolete version of Iran's flag that existed in a time that predates the current Islamic Republic Government. The Lion & Sun emblem harkens to a mid-century Iran that once held closer relations to the West and allowed its citizens to embrace more social liberties and political autonomy.
The phrase βThis is Not a Pipe Dreamβ is written in French and is a play on the famous pipe painting by Magritte. His original intention when writing βThis is Not a Pipeβ was to highlight how paintings represent an idea but are never the thing itself. I added βdreamβ to the end of that phase to point to a more free Iran that is not just an illusion or fantasy but actually a reality rooted in history.
